What is Boutique Membership?
The Boutique Membership Program is designed for artisans and curators who are growing their businesses but aren’t ready for the overhead of a full brick-and-mortar location. Alley Kat’s provides an opportunity for Boutique Members to create their own little storefront within the Shoppe to sell their goods.
How do I know if Boutique Membership is right for me?
This type of membership is the perfect fit for small business owners who:
Love to thrift and curate collections to resell
Repurpose and refurbish small furniture and home decor pieces
Make their own items with a large, diverse product line that can fill an entire booth space
Are willing and able to commit to weekly booth refreshes, cleaning, and updates
How big is a Boutique space?
Boutique spaces vary in size based on the area of the Shoppe they’re in, but the average spaces are around 6 feet wide and 18-30 inches deep.
What is the Membership fee?
Standard Boutique Membership starts at $125 per month plus 15% of sales. Boutique fees are based on the size and location of the space. Members will also pay a non-refundable, one-time set up fee of 50% of their monthly membership fee when they are accepted into the program.
What else do I need to know?
Boutique Members are expected to keep their space stocked and designed on a weekly basis to give customers the best shopping experience possible. Boutique Membership is subject to a monthly sales goal that is created to set Members up for success. The minimum sales goal varies from member to member based on booth size, but is never less than $400 per month. Membership is extended on a month-to-month basis at the discretion of the Shoppe.
